There's two versions of Joy, the younger version and the older one.

both versions:
-taurus, female, heterosexual, about 5'8 and powerfully built
-werewolf and witch. She was born a witch to a family of them, but her family was killed and she was turned when she was ten.
-This was during a war, so she was imprisoned for, basically, being a new werewolf. She spent about a year and a half in prison, then was released to her uncle's custody (her only surviving family). This lasted less than two weeks before he turned her over to foster care, having to admit to himself that he couldn't care for her (he'd spent some time in prison and could barely take care of himself, let alone an angry, traumatized, 12yo werewolf). She cut him out of her life for awhile, but started talking to him again in her late teens.
-After this, raised in foster care, mostly group homes. Not great places to grow up, but not awful either, and she at least had access to her basic needs along with education and some medical and psychological care.
-functioning alcoholic
-seems tough, but is actually quite lonely and vulnerable. Part of her will always be stuck in the bedroom where she was attacked and turned, a little girl who is hurt, scared, angry, sad, and abandoned.

young!Joy:
-24 years old
-works as an illegal cage fighter
-lives with a roommate, Darcy
-belligerent as fuck. She will pick a fight with anyone, for anything, and basically cannot speak without spitting an insult or curse word.

older!Joy:
-33 years old
-works as, basically, a go-between of the werewolves and witches and has some authority to tell the werewolves what to do.
-married with two children
-more ornery than belligerent, but still a very dominant and angry personality. Tends to snap at people and has her dominance routines down for use on other werewolves.
